: my mother gave me a chair and sofa set. I at first thought it to be a duncan fife/phyfe original but later found it was dated 1856 which made this not so. I am wanting to get it apparaised to possibly sell do you have any ideas, pointers or anything. Many people seem interested until they find out how old it is? Why is that?
